The name “Ewajo” comes from the Yoruban language of Nigeria and means “people come dance”.
Classes have brought many people from diverse backgrounds together to experience dance as a living expression of unique and shared histories.
Since 1975, the mission of Ewajo has been to bring health, culture and the creative expression through the medium of dance education.
